SAICA Learnership Programme: Your Path to Becoming a Chartered Accountant (CA)

Academic Foundation:

Start with a solid foundation in mathematics and accounting at the school level, followed by an accredited university degree like B. Acc or B. Compt.

Postgraduate Studies:

After obtaining your degree, pursue a Certificate in the Theory of Accounting (CTA) or an equivalent qualification.

Practical Experience:

Professional Exams:

Pass the SAICA Professional Exam, including the Initial Test of Competence (ITC) and the Assessment of Professional Competence (APC).

SAIPA Learnership Programme: Steps to Becoming a Professional Accountant (SA)

Academic Requirements:

A strong academic background in mathematics and accounting, leading to a B. COMM degree (or equivalent) from a SAIPA-accredited institution.

Essential Subjects:

Include Financial Accounting 3, Taxation 1, Auditing 1/Internal Auditing 2, Corporate Law 1/Commercial Law 2, and Management Accounting in your curriculum.

Registration and Learnership:

After your degree, complete a three-year learnership with C2M, a SAIPA Accredited Training Centre.

Final Examination:

Write and pass the SAIPA Professional Evaluation (PE) Examination.
