C2M is an accredited training office and offers both SAICA (South African Institute of Chartered Accountants) and SAIPA (South African Institute of Professional Accountants) learnerships. As a medium-sized audit and accounting firm, our trainees are exposed to multiple clients covering a wide range of sectors and industries.
Students who have completed a bachelor’s or Honours degree in accounting are welcome to email their CV and latest results to jobs@c2mca.co.za. C2M also offers a few learnership opportunities to undergraduate students. If you are in the process of completing your bachelor’s degree and would like to start your articles, send a copy of your latest results and a short CV to jobs@c2mca.co.za.
SAICA LEARNERSHIP PROGRAMME
4 Steps to Become a Chartered Accountant (SA):
School Qualification
For university admission, the minimum requirements are a Level 5 pass in Mathematics and a National Senior Certificate with matric exemption. You will need to take pure Mathematics and not Mathematical Literacy.
Having Accounting as a school subject will help you in your future studies.
Academic Qualification
Ensure that the university you attend is accredited by the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA).
Obtain a SAICA accredited qualification, for example, a B. Acc or B. Compt degree. Once you have obtained your accredited degree, you will be required to complete a Certificate in the Theory of Accounting (CTA) or equivalent qualification. This is a post-graduate course. Should you decide to study part-time, these qualifications can be completed while you are busy with your SAICA Learnership.
SAICA REGISTRATION
Register with a training entity, such as C2M Chartered Accountants Inc.- Pass SAICA Professional Exam
- The Initial Test of Competence (ITC)
- The Assessment of Professional Competence (APC)

Four steps to becoming a Professional Accountant (SA):
School Qualification

Academic requirements
If you are studying towards or hold a B. COMM degree (or equivalent) from a SAIPA-accredited tertiary institution with the following subjects, you qualify to register as a trainee member with SAIPA:
- Financial Accounting 3
- Taxation 1
- Auditing 1 / Internal Auditing 2 / Internal Control and Code of Ethics
- Corporate Law 1 / Commercial Law 2
- Management Accounting
SAIPA REGISTRATION
Once you have completed your degree, you will need to obtain practical experience by completing a three-year learnership with a SAIPA Accredited Training Centre such as C2M Chartered Accountants Inc.
- Write and pass the SAIPA Professional Evaluation (PE) Examination.
