Employment equity reports & B-BBEE status

Do you qualify as a designated employer? 

The purpose of an Employment Equity Report is to summarise the employers’ Equity Plan which enables the employer “to achieve reasonable progress towards Employment Equity”, assist in eliminating unfair discrimination in the workplace, and aims to achieve equitable representation of employees from designated groups by means of affirmative action measures. Submission of the Employment Equity Report is compulsory to obtain a score for Employment Equity on the company’s B-BBEE scorecard. Employment Equity submissions are also legislatively required and non-submission may lead to a heavy fine. The submission deadline is 15 January 2016.
